What reads at a distance as a warm, textured field of ochre and pale gold reveals itself up close as a surface dense with scratched marks, scrawled notations, and layered gestures that sit somewhere between writing and drawing. The central field dominates — soft yellow-green, worked and reworked — while the edges fracture into color: burnt orange and red at the lower corners, a punch of cadmium yellow at the right, flashes of blue and olive anchoring the top. It has the quality of a page from a journal no one was meant to read, and that's exactly what makes it compelling.

The Cy Twombly reference is hard to avoid, but this piece earns its place in that conversation. Signed by the artist and presented in a white oak frame with a wide white mat, it's refined in presentation and raw in spirit — a combination that works in just about any serious interior.
