Tall, narrow, and impossible to walk past without stopping — this unframed 63" x 30" canvas is an study in how much a painting can suggest without committing to a single reading. The format itself does half the work: vertical and column-like, it draws the eye upward through a shifting landscape of warm khaki and sandy tan, punctuated by bold passages of olive green, near-black, and deep forest that push in from the edges like treelines or shadows moving across open ground. The upper third is the most complex — dark, layered, and active, with flashes of teal, pink, and white cutting through the density like light breaking between branches.

Moving downward, the composition opens into broader, quieter passages of raw tan and earth tone, interrupted by gestural black marks and small drips that read as pure process — the artist thinking out loud on the canvas. A few hits of burnt orange and red surface near the left edge at intervals, keeping the warmth alive through the darker passages. The overall feeling is unmistakably landscape-referential without being literal about it — terrain, light, and season compressed into a single long vertical frame.
