The third in this remarkable series of black and white works — and arguably the most elemental. At 61" x 49", this unframed canvas operates in the same graphic language as its companions while finding its own distinct rhythm. A bold black border frames the entire composition like a carved tablet, and inside, three registers move through three completely different visual worlds with total confidence.

The top third is all diagonal energy — parallel slashes angled sharply across a white field, bold and rhythmic, like rain seen sideways or a field of tall grass laid flat by wind. The middle register shifts completely: a wide, open white band holds a row of elongated black oval forms, evenly spaced and gently tapered, reading like seeds, leaves, or surfboards arranged with careful intention — quieter and more meditative than the register above. Then the bottom closes with a row of bold black circles, thick-edged and hand-drawn, sitting in a line like stones or moons — simple, weighty, and completely resolved.

Together the three registers read like a visual grammar — diagonal, vertical, circular — a set of marks that feel both ancient and entirely contemporary. As a standalone piece it's striking. Paired with either or both of its companion works, it becomes part of something genuinely collection-worthy. Signed by the artist in the lower right.
