The surface is built up with plaster, sand, aggregate, and paint until the canvas reads less like a painting and more like a section of wall pulled from a building that has lived a full life — cracked, peeling, stained, and extraordinary. The upper half is a field of aged cream and pale rose, cracked and blistered in places, with vertical drips of brown trailing down like water damage and small passages of dusty mauve and raw umber that surface through the plaster like old paint beneath new. A dark passage at the upper left edge adds further drama.

The lower half shifts dramatically: a dense, granular field of deep olive green and teal spreads across the lower left in a heavily textured mass that reads like moss or lichen growing across stone, while the lower right maintains the cracked plaster surface with hints of blue and soft rose emerging through it. A broad diagonal stroke of raw brown anchors the bottom edge, and a partially visible face-like form presses through the green texture — subtle, almost hallucinatory, the kind of thing you see and then aren't sure you saw. Small notations in blue crayon on the left side add one final layer of human mark-making to a surface that already feels inhabited by time itself.
